Valerie Pierce is one of the best voices hailing from Southern California. Twelve years of formal vocal training along with her professional time in the studio and before live audiences have enhanced her rich, sultry tones that captivate all within earshot. Valerie’s talent and versatility in R&B, Neo-Soul and Jazz genres have earned her opening spots for several well-known recording artists, including Frankie Beverly, Morris Day and The Time, Alfonzo Blackwell, Jeanette Harris, Lenny Rankins, and Reggie Smith. In 2008, Valerie was awarded the top honor for Jazz in the Hollywood Talent Quest. She gained the admiration of President Barack Obama when performing for him and distinguished guests at a victory breakfast held at the historic El Cortez Hotel in San Diego, CA. Valerie has performed with numerous bands and orchestras over the years, perfecting her stage presence and increasing her fan base.
Valerie is currently promoting her new R&B album entitled “2Deep” released December 7, 2010 in conjunction with SteadRoc Entertainment /Next Platinum Records under Tate Music Group. In addition to her solo project, she remains a highly sought after lead vocalist for local and regional bands. Most recently, Valerie has drawn crowds in excess of 10,000 people at the 2010 Little Italy Fest in San Diego and the 2010 New Year’s Eve event on the USS Midway.

Valerie began her vocal career at the young age of 5 when she was discovered by the nuns at her preschool. Under the tutelage of the parish she pursued her dream of one day becoming a premier vocalist by completing more than 12 years of vocal lessons, all the while singing with public groups and ensembles, such as the Oak Park Choir, the Horace Mann Choir and Ensemble, the Voices of Victory, the Voices of Fulfillment, the Mighty Queens of Soul, the California Mass Choir, the NPAC Adult and Mass Choirs.
Valerie has opened for several recording artists, including: Frankie Beverly, Morris Day and the Time, Alfonzo Blackwell, Jeanette Harris, Lenny Rankins, Bobby Blue Bland, Reggie Smith and others.
Valerie polished her stage presence by applying her training, background and skills to the wide spectrum of talents required for concerts, where she had the opportunity to display her own vocal styles as well as her directing ability and musical accompaniment training. This stellar vocalist is also an accomplished musician, playing the acoustic piano, two tier organ, drums, steel drums and flute.
Valerie's phenomenal stage presence together with her extraordinary sound enhances the listening experience of her audiences, enabling them to not only hear but feel the emotion in the music, whether it be R&B, Jazz, Soul, Rock or Gospel.
Valerie is also a poet/lyricist who has won numerous awards for the poetry/lyrics. She has written for and coached numerous artists or a variety of labels, her lyrics are heard worldwide. Valerie has completed her second solo project and is currently working on her third. She performs regularly in the following venues:
Pechanga Casino, Pauma Casino, The Little Italy Fest San Diego, San Diego Convention Center, Balboa Park Prada, The Monte Carlo Las Vegas, The USS Midway, San Diego Jazz Festival, Edwards Theatre.
