Kalamazoo rapper Ed Genesis to release new album, battle on BET's "106 & Park" Friday106 & Park" senior writer Pat Charles, who was at Ed Genesis' audition, said he was so impressive they wanted to give him the chance to make a long run on the show, which is why they waited so long to call. "He's got a cool swagger," Charles said during a phone interview from New York City. "I hate using the word, but it's true with him. He was really good. He was very witty.
