Ray Haynes

Background: Born in 1988 rapper Ray "Two-Tone" Haynes has been rapping since the age of 18. Growing up in New Orleans has been anything except normal for him. Coming from a troubled family, all Two-Tone wanted to do was find a way to take care of his mother. Being gifted in books, basketball and baseball he was sure that earning a steady income was a dream that can easily be reached, but none of these things could keep his interest throughout the years. In his last year of high school, some students were freestyling instead of doing school work and Two-Tone jokingly joined the cypher to the pleasure of the fellow participants. From there classmates told their friends about the freestyle and the rappers convinced him to take things more seriously and give rapping a shot. One of the rappers, Keith Walker who was also a life long friend, told Two-Tone about a producer he could introduce him to. Keith scheduled the meeting and Two-Tone fell in love with rapping from the first time he recorded. Over the past couple of years, Two-Tone's love and skills for rapping had been on a rapid incline which is very obvious to anyone who listened through his entire body of work. You can attest that to his two mixtapes "The Motivation vol. 1" and "The Motivation vol. 2: Tha Growth" and the numerous features on local New Orleans music. Fans say listening to all Two-Tone's work in a chronological order is like watching a baby's birth to the time they begin to walk to the time they can run. Now the whole world is waiting on him to fly.
