Let us see if the subtext becomes more clear. There are those who attribute supernatural forces being unseen behind the events of recent and distant history. Sometimes , it is the folly of mere mortals playing with fire, given to them by Prometheus, if I recall. Some of us continue to play with fire beyond the point of being burned once, and never learn that they are but mortal, too. So, barring any difficulties, perhaps the story will continue. It is a stream of consciousness, perhaps Joycean, however, I never could get through Joyce. It all has to do with not using correct punctuation and grammar. Some seem not to have this problem, while others do. Mysterious?
