Samantha Bobo

Background: Ok so here goes the basic stuff, my name\'s Sam, I\'m 19 years old, I live in a small town in Massachusetts, I\'m a sophomore at Roger Williams University double majoring in Environmental Science and Legal Studies, as well as on the varsity sailing team for RWU. I am also a marketing and communications intern at US Sailing.

Interests: Athletically, I love soccer, and I love to sail, and as much as people don\'t think sailing is a sport, well, it is. You have to be in wicked good shape to sail competitively, and I hope to be able to sail in college and then maybe go on to sail the Rolex Cup or the Volvo Ocean Race. I also swim. It\'s intense, especially when you\'re new to it like I am, but I love it. When you drop your times for events it is the most satisfying feeling, and the team is so supportive and fun to be around. NBY HURRICANES! <3\n\nArtistically, I love photography and the skill and patience it takes to convey a message through one frame out of the infinite that we call life. I especially love nature photography, because it is so satisfying when you realize you\'ve gotten the perfect shot because you were in the right place at the right time. I also enjoy writing, poetry, short-stories, anything creative writing.

Goals: Small scale: I want to take up piano lessons again, and maybe take another photography class.\nLarge Scale: Go to law school for Environmental Law. But more importantly I want to make a difference, even if I\'m not remembered I want to know I did something worthwhile with my life, and live with no regrets.
