Background: Born and raised in Buffalo, NY-----\n\nLife without an active father impacted Nina\'s life deeply, perhaps deeper than most. Life in general often seemed difficult. Her escape from and expression of the pain shone thru in the form of first poems, and later songs... \nInspiration & Early Influences-----\n\nGrowing up, Music affected her in countless ways. Songs then, seemed to have more meaning than those of today, artist had something to say, a story to tell. Nina Novaa is a sonic storyteller, an 80\'s baby Teena Marie, Anita Baker, and Sade come to mind when she thinks of greatness. Her inspiration however came later through younger singers like Aaliyah, Brandy, and Monica, \n\nMusical Style/Sound-----\n\nWhen asked to put her musical style into words, Nina says \'I would say that I always try to choose music that is very sensual, and often times erotic. Music that makes your feeling receptors tingle. My lyrics and delivery are often breathy, and many times border on more of a rappers style. Love, however, is frequently the motto.
