This contest is open to females between 18 and 40-years-old from anywhere in the world, who are registered users of Lafango.com. If you are not currently registered, you must set up an account with Lafango in order to participate. Lafango is a 100% free site and there is absolutely no cost to participate in this or any other contest on our site. Additional restrictions may apply.
To enter, contestants must submit a minimum of one (1) entry that conforms to the unique rules of this contest. Entries that violate any rule may be removed and disqualified without notice. Should this occur, it is the responsibility of the contestant to submit a new entry before the expiration of the submission period. If the contestant fails to submit a new entry, he or she will no longer be eligible.
All entries must consist of media that is in a file type supported by the Lafango uploader. All entries must be received through Lafango during the valid submission period(s), which may be extended if an insufficient number of entries are received. All entries must be the creation and/or property of the submitting contestant. Entries must not contain any nudity, profanity, or extreme depictions of violence, or be obscene, lewd, discriminatory, or threatening in any way. By entering this contest, all contestants hereby consent (except where prohibited) to the use by Lafango of the contestant's name, age, photograph, voice, likeness, and/or image, hometown address, and entry without any further compensation.
This contest has 4 rounds. At the conclusion of each non-final round, a percentage of contestants will be chosen to move on to the next round. The selection of these contestants may or may not be a reflection of performance or rank in the concluding round. With each new round, each contestant is required to submit new media within the round's designated submission period. Failure to submit a new entry may result in the contestant's removal from the contest.
Contestants may be required to supply background information and a Lafango user icon in which he or she is depicted. Visual entries (videos and images), depending on the nature of the contest, may be required to depict this same individual. Entries may be required to contain non-generic, descriptive titles and a textual description.
Lafango assumes no responsibility for possible fraud committed by any contestant. While every effort is made to ensure that all submitted entries are actually created by their respective contestants, Lafango cannot be held liable for actions on the part of the users. Lafango reserves the right to remove or disqualify any entry at any time at its discretion.
During the contest's voting period, registered users of Lafango will be able to vote on entries to help select the winner. All voters must be logged in when attempting to vote. If the contest is not capable of running as planned or where the sole judgement of Lafango concludes that the security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of the contest is corrupted, Lafango reserves the right to disqualify or modify the standings of any entries that violate the rules at its own discretion. Regardless of performance, all contestants are eligible for no more than one (1) prize per contest. Contestants may not receive a prize from more than one (1) contest within a 60-day period.
Lafango reserves the right to make the final decision as to which contestant(s) will receive a prize. The chosen recipient(s) will be contacted by Lafango.com via Lafango's message system. The recipient(s) must respond to the message within a period of fourteen (14) days and may be required to submit proof of identity in order to obtain any prize(s). If a recipient fails to respond within fourteen (14) days, is unable to provide proof of identity, or is discovered to have violated any of the contest's rules, the prize will be forfeited and may be awarded to another contestant. Lafango is not responsible or liable for any prizes that are delayed, damaged, lost, or stolen, nor are there any guarantees or warranties regarding the quality or value of these prizes. Lafango reserves the right to change the prize at any time or to offer an alternative of similar value. Prizes are non-transferable. All federal, state, and local tax liabilities are the sole responsibility of the recipient(s). International recipients are responsible for their own local tariffs and customs duties. Lafango is not liable for the value added tax (VAT), however it will insure the package and pay for the shipping. Recipients will be provided with tracking information. All cash prizes are in US dollars, unless otherwise stated.
By entering this contest, all contestants must affirm to have read and agree to abide by the terms and conditions of Lafango, the official contest rules, and the decisions of the judges and contest administrators. Lafango reserves the right to modify these rules and regulations at any time, at its discretion, and without notice. Lafango also reserves the right to disqualify any contestant acting in violation of the official rules or found tampering with the entry process, the operation of the contest, or the website. Lafango reserves the right to remove any contestant or entry from the contest at any time, at its discretion, and without notice. This contest is governed by the laws of the United States and, by entering, all contestants hereby submit to the jurisdiction and venue of the federal, state and local courts located in the United States. Any attempt by a contestant or any other individual to deliberately damage any website related to Lafango or the contest or undermine the legitimate operation of the contest may be in violation of criminal and civil laws. Should such an attempt be made, Lafango reserves the right to seek damages from this individual to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Limitations of Liability: Lafango and each of its respective affiliates, subsidiaries, parent corporations, and their respective officers, directors, shareholders, employees, and agents, are not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate entry information, theft, tampering, destruction, or unauthorized access to, or alteration of entries; printing or other errors; and any entries or mail which are late, lost, delayed, incomplete, misdirected, stolen, mutilated, illegible, or any combination thereof. Lafango reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the contest in the event that it becomes necessary due to circumstances beyond its control.
Release of Liability: By participating, contestants agree to release, discharge, indemnify, and hold harmless Lafango and each of its respective affiliates, subsidiaries, parent corporations, and their officers, directors, employees, representatives and agents from and against any claims made by the contestants or any other third parties related in any way to the operation of this contest, including without limitation, claims of copyright infringement, as well as any other claims, damages or liability due to any injuries, damages or losses (whether alleged, threatened, or actual) to any person or property of any kind resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, misuse or use of any prize or participation in any contest-related activity or participation in this contest.
The user retains the rights to all of his or her media, and by submitting, grants permission to Lafango to display or use in any promotional material.
Round 1: The submission period is from Tuesday, February 16th, 2010 (12:00am EST) through Wednesday, November 17th, 2010 (12:00am EST). Contestants are to submit exactly 4 image files. Each image must be a photograph in each of the following categories: (1) head shot, (2) frontal, full-body shot, and (3) two photos of the contestant's choice. Voting will take place from Saturday, November 20th, 2010 (12:00am EST) through Friday, December 3rd, 2010 (12:00am EST). After the voting period has concluded, the top 100 contestants will be selected to move on to the next round.
Round 2: The submission period is from Monday, December 6th, 2010 (12:00pm EST) through Sunday, December 19th, 2010 (12:00pm EST). All contestants must be finalists of the previous round. Contestants are to submit exactly 3 image files. Each image must be a photograph of the contestant in swimwear in each of the following categories: (1) frontal, full-body shot, (2) sideways, full-body shot, and (3) a photo of the contestant's choice. Voting will take place from Wednesday, December 22nd, 2010 (12:00pm EST) through Thursday, January 6th, 2011 (12:00pm EST). After the voting period has concluded, the top 50 contestants will be selected to move on to the next round.
Round 3: The submission period is from Sunday, January 9th, 2011 (12:00pm EST) through Friday, January 21st, 2011 (12:00pm EST). All contestants must be finalists of the previous round. Contestants are to submit exactly 3 image files. Each image must be a photograph of the contestant in evening wear in each of the following categories: (1) frontal, full-body shot, (2) sideways, full-body shot, and (3) a photo of the contestant's choice. Voting will take place from Monday, January 24th, 2011 (12:00pm EST) through Sunday, February 6th, 2011 (12:00pm EST). After the voting period has concluded, the top 10 contestants will be selected to move on to the next round.
Round 4: The submission period is from Wednesday, February 9th, 2011 (12:00pm EST) through Tuesday, February 22nd, 2011 (12:00pm EST). All contestants must be finalists of the previous round. Contestants are to submit no more than 1 video file. The video must be in response to a question that will be provided just prior to the start of this round. Voting will take place from Friday, February 25th, 2011 (12:00pm EST) through Tuesday, March 8th, 2011 (12:00pm EST). After the voting period has concluded, the winner(s) will be selected and the prize(s) will be awarded.
Contest Prize: One (1) 1st place winner will receive $10,000 USD.
