Adam's first CD "Parsippany on a Wednesday" comes out this summer!
Background: My name is Adam Mamawala, and I'm a 22 year old recent graduate of The College of New Jersey. I've been doing stand-up for close to 4 years now, and I've had the pleasure of performing all over the tri-state area, particularly in NYC at Comix and Caroline's. Though I graduated with a degree in communications, I'm hoping that stand-up can be a profession for me, and I'm always interested in doing as many gigs as possible.
Interests: Plain and simple...I want to be a professional stand-up comedian. It's not about money, it's not about fame. It's about doing something that I love, something that I'm passionate about. It's about the euphoric feeling that I get on stage knowing that I've had a good show. It's corny, but it's the truth. I'm not naive enough to think it's an easy business to break into, but hopefully I can connect with the right people who will give me a shot. Until then, I'll be booking every show I can.
Goals: Although comedy is my main focus, I am also a singer, and I performed in musicals in high school as well as with an a cappella group at The College of New Jersey. I played tennis in high school and college, and I am an avid sports fan. I grew up in Illinois when I was younger, so I'm Cubs, Bulls, Bears all the way.
