John Stevens

Background: Born in Queens, New York and raised in the town of Christmas, Florida Steven has faced his battles with Diabetes and other major Heart problems. At the age of 10, Steven found music to be the one thing that he could be good at and it would allow him to set goals. By the age of 12 Steven was sing in a junior choir as the lead vocalist for Downtown Baptist Church of Orlando until the age of 14 when he then moved and started singing at North Side Baptist church in Oviedo Florida. At the age of 16 Steven went on to find bigger challenges and competed in FFA state talent competition representing University High School FFA chapter and gladly took second place. Since then Steven has searched for people to be in a band witch is now known Highway 50. Steven currently has his very own album out witch fits the mentality, “Never Give Up”. The album was mostly written Steven himself that has a little bit of everything from the good old country boys having fun to falling in love even what he talks about when he talks to the good lord above. Although he does not know how to play the guitar, Steven learned how to play from watching others and playing what sounds good from his soul and writing lyrics from his heart and fully believes that the music that he sings and writes “only sounds good, because it’s true”.
