Background: Hi everyone thanks for viewing my profile. Im a country girl from the West of Ireland. I have uploaded some songs and i hope you enjoy them I have been singing since i was 4 in school plays and in choir. I appeared in a country music talent show on irish tv which was the best experience ever. It was based on viewer votes only and it was deffinately the best experience i ever had. Especially the craic with Dathi O'Shae (Voted Irelands Sexiest Weather Man 2 years in a row) While on the show i met so many of irelands top musicians/performers. I didnt manage to gain enough votes to win, but i held top position through the 16 weeks of the competition. I made it to the final 3 on the last night of the competition which I was delighted with. I had never sang with any band under such circumstances and never in a million years did I ever think Id get to sing on national tv. Because of my participation in the show I got to perform at one of the biggest events which is hosted by MWR FM each year. The venue is in West of Ireland called the Royal Theatre stars like westlife, charlie Pride, and Martina McBride is due to perform there this year. The venue is the main stage outside of Dublin City for top class entertainment from all over the world. Performing at this event was really the icing on the cake.. the backing band consisted of 14 members. On that night, as i stood at the side wings waiting for my cue to go on, the host of the evening asked everyone to take out their mobile phones and vote for me. As i made my way out to the huge, and i mean huge stage, the view was a sea of thousands of little illuminated lights where people were preparing their phones to vote for me.. It was like looking out on a city of lights.. I got a real buzz from my performance on the night as the crowd were fantastic - clapping and singing along with me. I could have stayed on all night - it was just an amazing experience. I have never sung in front of so many people in all my life. Last October I Went to Nashville and saw all the sights. Its deffinately the home of music 24/7. I sang at the catanooga station house - its deffinatley a place with a difference while your having your meal the waiters and waitresses perform on stage - and they were fantastic. The standard of musicians out there are second to none. However, the life of singing in bars there isnt as glamorous as I would have thought before I went.. The singers that have hit the big time have deffinately paid the price and put in the hard work to get where they are today.. All of the singers sing for tips so its tough going for them. I currently have a full-time day job I really enjoy singing but unfortunately musicians are hard to find - so if you know anyone in ireland willing to back me let me know. The songs i have uploaded are not professional recordings - some of them are done from my pc - the "wedding day" song took me ages to get the sound half decent and then i realised i made a mistake in the lyrics.. it was only a very new song to me at the time and i havnt got around to correcting it - All the same its not that obvious unless you know the song, so hopefully ill get around to fixing it. Goals: I would love to sing in the grand ole opry some day.. I would also love to sing the National Anthem in front of the President at the All Ireland Football Finals in Croke Park. My main goal at the minute is to find musicians and to get a band of my own on the road.. being from the West of Ireland, its not that easy to find particular musicians because they are either out doing their own one man show or with established bands..
