Martesha Burrage

Background: Martesha is a very outgoing person who loves Jesus. She also enjoys being around all of her friends and family. Martesha started working for the HOUSTON INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT in 1999 at Energized for Excellence Academy. She continues on in HISD working with special need children that have Autisum, Bipolar, Down Syndrome disorders.etc... Martesha enjoys modeling, taking pictures and coordinating fashion shows/ concerts to raise money for children with the autism spectrum disorder as well as other disabilities. Martesha Burrage, CEO/Founder of Social Good in Action Social Good in Action is a organization that focuses on helping organizations and non-profit organizations raise money for community services and programs that support children affected by developmental disabilities, abused, murdered, missing children, homeless & sheltered families in need. Martesha's primary activity is the development of fundraising fashion shows and concerts. These charity benefits raise money for local non-profit organizations so that they may better serve their community. “Originally, she didn’t start out thinking on a large scale. While working with children who had autism, she was inspired to organize a charity event to raise money for a local chapter that provided autism services support. After that first experience, it seemed that she could just keep doing more good around her if she used her skills planning fashion shows for other needs in our community. Interests: WORKING WITH CHILDREN IN EDUCATION, PHOTOGRAPHY, HOSTING, FUNDRAISERS THAT SUPPORTS THE COMMUNITY AND CHILDREN, COORDINATING FASHION SHOWS AND CONCERTS ETC......

Goals: CONTINUE TO SPREAD AUTISM AWARENESS, HELP FAMILIES IN NEED, COMMUNITY EVENTS FOR CHILDREN THROUGH FASHION SHOWS AND MUSCIAL PERFORMANCES.
