I was born in Ravenna, Ohio. I currently live in the Washington D.C. Metropolitan Area. I have been learning Hindustani classical music since I was nine years old first under the instruction of Smt. Mitali Saha, then Ustad Hamid Hossain. I wish to excel in performing Bollywood film songs. I have performed at various places around this area as well as Toronto at the National American Bengali Conference of 2008. In the Annual Indian Music and Dance competition 2009, i placed first in the film song category, 2nd in the ghazal category, and 3rd in the classical category in my age group.
