Nikki May was born and raised in southern New Mexico. At a very early age, her and her sisters would stand by the radio and sing-a-long. It wasn't long until they figured out how to pick out their individual parts in a three-part harmony. They entertained everyone at all the family gatherings. The church congregation soon learned of their talents and insisted on at least one performance a month. Nikki blossomed from the shy little girl standing in front of church folk, to the girl that wanted to take the lead and entertain the crowd. By the time she was grown, most locals knew she could sing and entertain the troops. Wasn't long before she was asked to sing a set or two when local bands spotted her in the crowd. Finally a band asked her to join them and travel the circuit. She has sang with some wery good bands here in the southwest, like"Cody", and "Most Wanted" "Road Scholars". Nikki has recorded some in Palm Springs, California, and most recently with "The Goldust Enterprize in southern New Mexico. She and her partner are currently working on some songs of their own that appear to have great potential. Some of her music talents are definatly inherited from their great aunts in Louiville, Kentucky, who were known by their gospel name, "Hymntime Quartet". When not singing with a live band, she accompanies herself with a soft-style "finger-picking guitar, and/or soundtrack. Her ability to entertain and mix with an audience, is equal to her music talents. Nikki lives in Deming, New Mexico, where the morning sun rises over the Florida Mountains and casts a daylong shadow over a dry dusty ranch and farm land. A place where the cowboys life is still alive and well. Making a living in this part of the country is far from easy. Folks work hard and play hard. They appreciate where they live and what they have. As the sun sets in a fire-like manner to the west, most folk out here like to relax with some type of entertainment. Rarely a week goes by that Nikki isn't busy,providing just the kind of relaxing entertainment that they need. Nikki is inspired from deep within to revive the old country music, while still enjoying the new. She knows that if she doesn't limit herself and always sings from the heart she wont miss a beat!
