N.I.C.K. B, aka Nerd In A Cool Kid's Body, is part of the new generation of young MC's coming out of New Jeruz. Focusing on lyrics and content, Jonathan Rivera takes on the alter ego name N.I.C.K. B. With influences from The Wu Tang Clan, Eminem, Nas, and Jay Electronica, he is truly a student of the game. N.I.C.K B was born in Newark and raised in Union, NJ where he aquired both the strength and knowledge which would later influence his choice of content and his name. Jonathan Rivera, bka Jo from MTV’s 'Teen Mom 2,' started filming for the MTV show '16 and Pregnant' in August of 2009 and they’ve been filming his life ever since. He began filming for the spinoff series 'Teen Mom 2' in 2010. He's been writing songs for over 3 years now but recently got into the recording aspect about a year ago. Says N.I.C.K B, “Rhyming is something I did before the show and I’ll continue to do as long as I live.” As one of 4 members of the rap group Overtime Grind, N.I.C.K B has performed several venues in the Tri State Area. He is currently working on a solo EP for the summer of 2011. "My ultimate goal is to sign to a label that's ready to work just as hard as I am." - N.I.C.K. B
