MzCooKie a.k.a "FirstLady of Da Ville" was born, January 26, 1980, in Louisville, Ky a R&B/ HIP-HOP/ Neo soul vocalist, song writer, and actress. She has been singing since the tender age of two. She was musically influenced by her father Robert Wilson who was a former member of the old gospel group Archy Dale and the Tones of Joy and her uncle Johny Griffith a former song writer for major label Motown and Marvin Gaye. People look at MzCookie as being a soulful songstress. She has a alot of sweetness to her voice, Just like her name. MzCookie is very versitile and she can sing anything. You will always know its her because she puts her on unique twist to any music. When she was fifteen she went to sing for an all state competition and won 3rd place singing opera. MzCookie has been in local talent shows and competitions around Louisville. She was a finalist in the Kentuckinan Idol 2003 competition and received a certificate from a local Louisville radio station, 99.7 WDJX. She was also singing gospel and had the pleasure of goin to the Bobby Jones Gospel Show that aired August 2004 on the Word Network. MzCooKie also went to audtion to sing background for the play In Love With Tyrone and was chose to be a leading actress. While preparing for the play she went on to persue her music career. Singing at local clubs like Yuri's Bistro hosted by Spike Davis (Comic Views own) opening up for acts such as Mike Epps 2003, Ying Yang Twins Feb 2007, Chyna Whyte 2007, DJ Unc 2008, Rich Boy 2009, Twista 2009, Devin the Dude 2010, Rich the Factor 2010, and comedian Michael Blackson 2010. This Sonstress has had the pleasure of working with Mo B. Dick of Beats By the Pound from No Limit Records, and Smoke E. Digglera former member of PLAYA. Her influences are Aretha Franklin, Chaka Khan, Gladys Knight, Sam Cook, Lauryn Hill, Betty Wright, Marvin Gaye, Static Major, PLAYA, and Stevie Wonder. That explains where her sound evolved from. This sister is HIGH SPIRITED and will LIGHT up the DARKEST room, very talented and the world needs to kno her.
