David-Allen Jones (born March 31, 1981 in Newport,RI) was raised between Providence and Newport,RI. Better known by his stage name Lil Bear (one half of Black Bear) is a well known hip hop artist, songwriter and phenomenal performer. Recognized for lyrics that focus on family, love,spirituality and the pain/struggles of his hard youth, makes others relate. Many that have heard Lil Bear perform, describe him as being a conscious hip hop artist who makes songs that send a soul felt message which he continually succeeds to ignite and maintain a significant underground following up and down the east coast.
