Gracing the stages since 2001, Lia is a multilingual singer/songwriter based out of Maui, HI. She has a vocal style that could be described as a mix between Alicia Keys and Rihanna, and her musical style ranges from Reggae to Hip Hop, funk and Reggaeton. She has an energetic stage presence and is known for her exiting live shows. Lia has had a passion for music since very young. Born in Panama City, Panama, she grew up surrounded by a melting pot of musical styles. From Salsa to Reggae, "Congo" to "Tipico" and even Classical. Her father is the Conductor of the Panama National Symphonic Orchestra and the Choir Musica Viva, so she would often participate in some of his concerts. As a child, Lia spent some time in Salvador, Brasil, where her mother is from, and there,Samba music is not just for dancing, but it is also a way of life. At age 14 she moved to Maui and attended King Kekaulike High School. After graduating, she auditioned for, and became a part of a singing group called "Shuga". The group released a Urban/Pop EP and performed all over Maui and O'ahu at places like Hapa's, Pipeline Cafe, and Kaponos. After the group split up, Lia went on as a solo act and recorded a promotional album called "Breaking Sonido". The album was a mix of Hip Hop and Reggaeton, and all of her musical influences gave her a style that put her in a category of her own. She performed songs from the album all over L.A in places like The Rumba Room in Universal City Walk, House of Blues on the Sunset Strip, and vault 350 in long Beach, and opened for popular Latin artists such as Zion"La Melodia Perfecta" and Pitbull. While living in Los Angeles she attended Musicians Institute in Hollywood where she graduated in the Independent Artist Program which focuses on music recording, music business and media marketing. Lia has since grown not only as an artist, but as a song writer as well. Her new material, while geared for the Island audience, has a polished and worldly sound. She enjoys writing songs with substance, and strives to become a positive influence for young people. Recently, she has performed all over Maui in places like Maui Arts and Cultural Center, Three's Bar and Grill, Casanovas, Longhis, Charleys and more. She has been featured in a lot of festivals and benefit concerts, shared the stage with the likes of Henry Kapono, and participated in the much talked about Zeptember Tribute concert. Lia writes and arranges all of her own music, and she is currently working on an album. Her first island single entitled “On a One Way” was released on July of 2011 and is on rotation on local radio stations. She released a second single called "Day By Day" in March 2012. Both singles are available on iTunes and Amazon Mp3. Lia has also collaborated with local female Artist Leylani on her track "Meant to Be" and her latest collaboration with Kalisi "It Can't Get Better Than This" has hit the top of the charts all over Hawaii.

Lia’s vocal style could be described as a mix between Alicia Keys and Lauryn Hill. Her repertoire includes everything from reggae to hip hop and funk with a bit of rock influence. Lia has an energetic stage presence and she is known for her exiting live shows. Lia Live & The Kryptones have prepared a dynamic set jam-packed for Friday night, with exciting, all-new original music and a few fun covers. Special guest Teomon will open the evening’s entertainment. The Kryptones have played on Maui for many years, backing up acts such as Humble Soul, O-shen and Marty Dread, among many others. Members of the band are also lend their musical talents to other distinguished groups, including Kanekoa and Nuff Said, and have played with the likes of the award-winning duo, HAPA. Lia, originally from Panama City, Panama, moved to Maui as a teenager and attended King Kekaulike High School.
