I-SHENKO BIO Born in Kingston, Jamaica on the 20th of May as John McKenzie popularly known as I-SHENKO in the reggae music industry. This multi-talented singer, songwriter, engineer and producer have been creating waves on the reggae/dancehall since 2005 since the release of his first single “hate in them” which got a lot a recognition in the UK and Europe. Since then it’s been no stopping for this talented individual with his follow up singles such as Enemies and his recent chart topping single Song For Her featuring Mantis The Producer which has been his most successful earning a number 1 spot on the GLOBAL LINKZ RADIO new artiste top ten chart in March 2011, and a lot of airplay on stations across the globe. Apart from being an artiste he is also an engineer and as worked on projects with artiste such as I-Octane, Guidance, Hitlist aka Gangooli, Eddie Fitzroy, Lutan Fyah, QQ, Pamputae, Danny English, Mr. Peppa, Mr. Perfect, Teflon amongst others. He has performed on many events such as I-Wayne’s annual Christmas treat, Fanton Mojah’s Reggae in the Valley, St. Catherine’s Independence Day Bandwagon and more, and has worked with labels such as Laserbass Productions now known as Tap Shottaz Productions, Music Life Ent Group, Chiney k Productions, Kallegna’s Productions and Sweat Boxx Music.
