Langston Childs (born July 16, 1991) also known by his stage name “Charisma the Composer,” is an African American record producer from Milwaukee, WI. At a young age, Charisma was gifted with a great ear for music. He played drums in church, and performed in the church choir. "Anything that I could participate in that involved music, thats was my hobby," He says. His father, Eric Childs loved jazz music, and would play a lot of jazz records in their household. "My dad would always play, Miles Davis, Duke Ellington, basically all jazz music, rarely any hip hop. That's how I think my ear for music was developed at an early age." At age 13 Charisma was curious about composing beats, but didn't know where to start. His next door neighbor had a recording studio in his basement, where Charisma began to use Fruity Loops and other software. "I was always curious about music producing. Once I found out where to go it was a wrap! I was hooked on it.It was my drug of choice" Charisma is currently working with different artist in his city (Slim Dollars, Lah-Kid, Cool Da'Meaner etc.) and he’s still composing beats. Charisma The Composer was influenced by musicians such as; Kanye West, Miles Davis and Johann Sebastian Bach. He has a strong passion and desire for music, and is making great progress in his career.
