Formally trained with an MFA from Pratt Institute in New York, DJF’s works emerge as experimental musical translations from visual art. Her influences range vast genres and include PJ Harvey, Lesbians on Ecstasy, Nina Simone, Thievery Corporation, Peaches, Tony Oursler, Le Tigre, FSOL, Nan Goldin, Mos Dub, Mexican Institute of Sound, and the Fania All-Stars, just to scratch the surface. A controllerist by design, DJF includes live film installations directly connected to the music, creating a full atmospheric experience. ✪ Recent performances include venues such as The Tampa Museum of Art, The Refinery, WTCA, and Infusions Lounge.

Duration: 59:59As part of NCECA (National Council on Educatoin for the Ceramic Arts), the West Tampa Center for the Arts will host an opening reception for their NCECA exhibit tonight, Friday April 1 from 6 to 10 p.m. The event will also have music by DJ Fuego, film projection and a donation bar.
