Delroy “Phatta“ Pottinger is good at what he does in more ways than one. His specialty is Re-mixes with a unique drum and bass sound. Delroy “Phatta“ Pottinger was born in Franklin Town, Jamaica. His love for music is unbeatable. Delroy started in the music business in 1987 when he debuted as a selector with Arrows International Sound System. He began his career as an Audio Engineering in 1989 working with the late Phillip Linton Sr. at Arrows Recording Studio in Kingston Jamaica. He began working at Anchor Recording Studios in 1993 and worked through 1997. After taking time to work on personal projects and to tour, he returned to Anchor Recording Studios in 2000 and has been there since. In addition to a large Jamaican client base, Delroy “Phatta“ Pottinger is the Anchor Recording Studios engineer with the widest international clientele. He is referred to as "The Pirate" because of his laid back, easy going style; absolutely nothing gets him riled up. Delroy has worked with almost every major artist in the reggae industry, and then some. Anthony B, Anthony Cruz, Bettimac, Big Mountain, Burro Banton, Chevelle Franklin, Chuck Fenda, Dasia, Cobra, Frankie Paul, The Fugees, Half Pint, Jah Mason, Jimmy Cliff, Luciano, Lutan Fyah, Matisyahu, Maxi Priest, Mikey Mystic, Natural Black, Norrisman, Pushim, Sinead O'Connor, Sizzla, Sluggy Ranks, Sly & Robbie, Steele Pulse, Third World and Tony Rebel just to name a few. These days you can find him just about anywhere, locally and internationally, as he travels all over the world doing work for various production labels, including working on his own production label, Phat Trax, which was his dream since the beginning of his career. His dream is now a reality and he is open for business!
