Devin Michael, a uniquely gifted and amazing talent, is a voice that renders listeners captive. Born of the mountainous soil of Charlottesville Virginia, he carries the heritage of a soulful discipline of musical expression. At the age of twelve, Devin began directing and teaching musical aggregations which placed greater demand on his precise musical ability. He was asked to conduct a two hundred plus voice choir to prepare them for their weekly performances and this served as a major launching pad for his future endeavors. While Devin Michael is the third son of a burgeoning musical family, his earliest memories recount the animation, ardor, and quality of several timeless artists. Miles Davis, Sam Cooke, Donny Hathaway, and Marvin Gaye are at the core of his musical influences. The forthcoming record "Window to the Universe" will most certainly share the culture of their brand in his original soul expression. After surviving the national tragedy, Hurricane Katrina, Devin Michael was one of few vocalists selected to record the song of hope “Heart of America” and rally to campaign for Habitat for Humanity. Devin Michael has recorded for and shared the stage with Rod Stewart, Cyndi Lauper, Michael McDonald, Wynonna Judd, Eric Benet, Jordin Sparks, The Jonas Brothers, Britney Spears, John Mayer, Timbaland, Brandy, Justin Bieber, Guy Sebastian, Sam Moore, Kirk Franklin and The Roots, to name a few.
