CEASEFIRE "Heaven Knows" Warning: Kamren Alexander's guitar shred sounds like a post-punk air raid about to happen while Brandon Franklin (bass), and Anthony Hainsworth (drums) drop rhythm bombs in a new wave strike. It's Gary Glitter and Joy Division elevated to the level of making the blood pump, the head bang and the fist pump in unison. Shot by Jon Ramirez http://www.jonkillz.com/

Direct support for Daughtry at Pechanga on September 2nd, 2011
Duration: 03:24This song was written with a few thoughts about many different relationships all having the same results... In a relationship there is usually one person that loves more then the other. That person is trying to chase something that's missing and it becomes more destructive. They are both trying to figure stuff out and someone to be, but when they do the damage is already done. They end up losing each other and being overcome by semantics, rather then using that to bring them closer together. It's hard to believe we first rely on lust rather then love. It's kind of like a drug..... This Love Will Tear Us Apart!
Duration: 03:33“Casting nets of effects-laden guitar, modern-rock gloss and radio-ready appeal, Fountain Valley quartet Ceasefire seem poised for major-label courtship.”
OC Weekly - Nate Jackson“Ceasefire brings out the best crowds and a veritable Who’s Who of the Orange County…”
Vickie Chang“This is a band that plays the same sort of rock that fills arenas at every U2 show”
Gary Schwind"For Orange County rock act Ceasefire, diligence and discipline are starting to pay off."
OCRegister.com KELLI SKYE FADROSKI"Ceasefire is an up and coming group that took home “Best Alternative” over Thrice and Saosin so be on the lookout for them."
Blackout | Staff Writer KROQ 106.7Ceasefire, a California based band, has captured our attention with their first single, ‘This Love Will Tear Us Apart’. Yes, it’s a song title that reminds us of Joy Division, but this song sounds nothing like ‘Love Will Tear Us Apart’. Known for their arresting vocal melodies and crafted guitar hooks, which can be described as combined music styles from new wave 80′s and 90′s with modern music. If you like Coldplay and U2, you will really enjoy this track. We look forward to their next single, ‘Heartache’, projected for release November 2011. Stream the track below & let us know what you think.
Rock Cousteau"Nice set by you guys as well. Your passion in making music is obvious. It felt like i was watching an arena type show."
Mark Englert"Ceasefire woke us up as lead singer Ray Alexander jumped from behind side stage and attacked the mic with an amazing outcry of high pitch vocals. It was the energy from Ceasefire that got our hearts thumping and the girls dancing. Almost immediately, I thought his vocals were awesome, unexpected, and similar in range as Bono. And their instrumentals are just as melodic. Yes, they’re that good. Interestingly enough, their latest single, “This Love Will Tear Us Apart,” was recorded in the studio shared by high profile producers, including Tim Palmer that has mixed several tracks with U2. Now, that’s saying something. It was quite fitting for Ceasefire to open for legendary 80s rock band Dramarama on Friday night. The band has also been featured on numerous MTV television shows such as The Real World, The Hills, The City, and more. Check out Ceasefire. They may just become your new favorite OC Rock band. Have we convinced you yet."
OC Music Magazine - Amy Hsieh"One of Ceasefire’s New Year’s Resolutions is to cultivate success under their new identity and to bring Ceasefire to the forefront by “working with some of music’s best to help” them “achieve their goals.”
Kamren explained, “We want to bring the name and our new sound to the forefront, nationwide and worldwide…Changing the group name and writing nonstop has been exciting for us.”
“We kind of went into hiding to reinvent ourselves and we feel that we have accomplished that.”
“The OC has treated us well and we always pack our shows so it’s been good. We can’t wait to share our new music and vision with everyone.”
Ceasefire is reinventing themselves, but their new sound stays true to their old sound–music reminiscent to The Killers and 30 Seconds To Mars.
The band creates deep, dance-worthy guitar-heavy power pop, a sound so well-suited for the grand medium of the radio."
"With their catchy radio-friendly tunes, a new name and new band member this Fountain Valley band is definitely on the hunt for major-label stardom and, at least for now, is more than humble about it. "For me it's a huge accomplishment, just to be a part of a band that headlines the House of Blues," Brandon Franklin, the new bassist, said. "It's a big deal!"
OC Weekly - Alejandra Loera"Ceasefire came on stage to find a rock and party hungry crowd. The group, obviously sensing the energy from the audience, fed upon the positive vibes. Vocalist Ray Alexander paraded back and forth on stage without tripping up one note. He interacted vividly with the crowd and held a confident frontman demeanor throughout the set."
