Alex Allred is an up-and-coming singer/songwriter from the Dallas area. His style is a mix between acoustic rock, pop, and alternative with upbeat rhythms and melodic chords. Some would call it a mix between Jason Mraz and Sublime. In late 2011, longtime band mate Kevin Broussard was added to the mix, playing percussion and singing backups, and in early 2012 Clinton Potter was added on bass, giving Alex's music even more flavor and originality than before. At the end of 2012 the band released their 12 song debut album "Born on 4/20", which is a musical autobiography of Alex's life from birth to present day. Since the trio has formed, they have been performing live shows in the Dallas, Denton, and Fort Worth area and working on spreading their music regionally throughout Texas and beyond. In December of 2010, Alex earned a Bachelor of Music from the University of Texas at Arlington. Venues performed: DALLAS: Liquid Lounge/Curtain Club, City Tavern, Boiler Room, Prophet Bar, Crown and Harp, House of Blues Voodoo Stage, Park(ing) Day (outdoor stage on Main St.), Deep Ellum Outdoor Market. ARLINGTON: Six Flags Over Texas. DENTON: J and J's Old Dirty Basement. FORT WORTH: The Grotto, Buon Giorno Coffee. AUSTIN: Red Eyed Fly.
