Iyah Schubere

Background: I am a science student with a passion for music. I was in my first musical when I was nine years old--a twenty-minute rendition of "The Wizard of Oz"--and I have been singing and acting ever since. I was involved with my high school's choir, listed as anything from an alto to a first soprano, and I took a voice class last year at my college. Beyond that, I really haven't had any kind of formal training. I'm self-taught, and I'm always looking to pick up new techniques. I may be familiar with music, but I'm just now starting to embrace my voice.

Interests: music, singing, writing, poetry, science, meteorology, geology, volcanology, literature, theater, environmental science

Goals: I want to get a bachelor's degree in environmental science, hopefully pursuing a career in either meteorology (not broadcast meteorology) or geology.
