Kristen Maiden : Where is everyone from? what kinda photography do you like to shoot? what kinda camera/equipment do you have?? ect....

I'm Kristen, originally from upstate NY, in the Adirondack Mts, but now I live in the subs of Philly! I love all types of photography (especially macro shots), but I mainly lean more towards shots of nature, animals, flowers, and scenery .... guess I just don't like shooting people! lol :) I have a Nikon D5000, Nikkor 18-55mm, Nikkor 55-200mm, SB-600 flash, tripod, wireless remote... and thats about it for me :)

John Mullanaphy : Philly eh? A lot of great shots for scenery there, my major group of close friends went to the Art Institute over there besides all of us hailing from Central Jersey. Not liking to shoot people? And in Philly, oh man, still plenty to work with over there.

Kristen Maiden : ya we don't live right in Philly we're more in the "country" closer to Allentown actually! :) ya when we do go into Philly there are sooo many funny people to take pictures of, I am a people watcher (with commentary lol) but I don't dare bring my camera out when we're down there! I might get mugged for it or shot for taking the picture! lol

  • ReportAlton Terry

Alton Terry : Im in Italy but Im no photograhpher, music is my field. I'm here because a good friend is photographer and I've come to appreciate photography after getting up at 4am to catch the right light of a place he wanted to shoot. Or having to climb the roof of a monastery to capture the desired view as the shingles began falling. Being a photographeris dangerous and the most perilous enviornment is being in the presence of his "Le Belle" models, beauty at it's finest. You can see for yourself here: http://www.photonicholas.com/index.php/photos/eng_index/
Meanwhile, I will be here checking out the work of the accomplished and talented photographers of Lafango.com Thanks for sharing.

Szymon Olejniczak : I'm from Łódź (just write it as Lodz), third largest city of Poland. Currently I'm in last class of high school, I'm planning to study Biology or Medicine. I'm photographing for almost 2 years. Since September 2009 I'm using Nikon D5000, usually with 18-55 lens, sometimes using 70-210 too (which can be a true pain as it has no autofocus so it's easy to take bad pic on longer distance). My favorites are: landscapes, sunrises, sunsets and abstractional photography. On the other hand, I don't like photographing people. If I need a person on the photo for some reason, then I'm my own model if it's possible. I'd love to get appreciated for my photos one day, but it's still looooong way to go.

Art Rosch : I'm in Northern California, right near the vineyards. My wife and I are full time RV dwellers.
Five years ago we bought a 38 foot motor coach and we haven't regretted it. As my wife is
partially disabled we stay close to home, which is a campground near Sonoma State.
There are plenty of things to photograph right here. I've been lucky in that I have a relationship with Shutterbug Magazine. They've published six of my articles so far, and I've had two cover photos. I love night photography. It helps to have a niche. I'm the "after dark" photographer, although I certainly am not limited to shooting when the sun goes down.
I use a Canon 20d and I shoot through a 24-105L IS lens, plus a Tokina 12-24 and the good old 50mm 1.8, the best lens seventy bucks can buy. You can see my work at www.artsdigitalphoto.com. I also write, and I'm serious about it. My blog is at www.artrosch.com

Michael Kissinger : Art, congrats on the cover photos! How invigorating it must be to see your image on the cover of a national publication! I hope to have that distinction sooner than later :)
