A man is in therapy. Complications arise when he discovers that his therapist has been involved in his personal affairs since his childhood. He also learns that he has been creating events and family members in his mind. In addition, he finds out that one of his hallucinations is a real person, not an imaginary one.
Christopher: An English-and-Spanish-speaking, intelligent and attractive man. He lives in his own tidy apartment. He has episodes of hallucinations, but he believes everything that happens to him is real. He creates stories about his past.
James: (Christopher's brother) A Spanish-and-English-speaking, tall, extroverted, married man. He is an imaginary twin. He is imaginary, but sometimes he merges with Christopher's personality.
Matthew: (Christopher's dad) A calm, introverted, imaginary father. He has a strong personality, and he loves Christopher. He can see Christopher's brothers, but they can't see him. In other words, they don't see him when he is talking with Christopher.
