Everyone knows there's different genres of modeling from eye candy to fashion, pin-up, plus-size, glamour, contemporary, etc and there 've been new faces of women coming into the modeling world without having a idea or the knowledge of what to do, who to talk to, what to look out for, what to expect as a model/businesswoman or not knowing what expectations she have to meet. Its very important that all models have a understanding of whats going on before they even think of crossing the threshold. All women can model, no matter the height, body type, or anything. A model needs to have a idea of where she wants to start, what kind of photographer to use because there are different ones with totally different styles and views of photography, working with a hairstylist, what MUA to use, what direction she wants go in, whether she needs a agent or manager, promoter, team, website and the list goes on. She definitely have to do a lot of research and understand you have to put in the time necessary for her brand to take off.

During this, she have to make sure its a field she definitely want to go in because whether they know it or not, being a model is a lot of hard work mentally, emotionally and physically. Mentally, you always have to think of different ideas and concepts to make you as a upcoming brand stand out from the competition; Emotionally you have to be willing to give your all. If you're self conscience about your body, that has to change completely. You cant be a model with self-esteem issues, and you're going to deal with different views and opinions that can hurt you or strengthen you as not just a model, but a woman overall. Some things can be hurtful true, but as a woman you have to be strong and take that as either motivation to make yourself better or let it dictate what you do; and Physically, you have to be marketable (very important). You can have a beautiful body with a flawless face all day but if you don't have a look where a company can sign or advertise you, that's a waste of time. You want a company to be able to call you or a representative and say, "we want to sign her." You have to understand when you're out in the public, you're a walking business advertising yourself to businesses of different calibers. Its very important to maintain a pose where no matter the situation, you always carry yourself with prestige, class and self-respect. Work out and keep yourself fit, your look will draw a lot of attention, especially when you're being marketed and promoted. All these things are very noticeable.

IMPORTANTLY, you need these 4 main things to be successful as a model: 1. Attitude, 2. Motivation, 3. Ability to promote yourself (when you have no one helping you) and 4. Have a marketable image. "Always invest in yourself, can't no one invest in you if you're not willing to invest in yourself."
