I have idolised Ashaji since childhood and this song has her trademark singing style stamped in every word and feel of the song,which was by itself an experience to emulate.Combined with the music by O P Nayyar set to the lyrics by Majrooh Sultanpuri, it is my pleasure to present this solo from "Mere Sanam" with the hope that I have been able to do justice to the original.
