If you ask any Indian aged above 40 years to single out a golden oldie which he enjoys most, more than 80% will opt for this song. The 'magic' which S D Burman sahab crafted has transformed some ordinary looking poetry into a sensuous, seductive as well as rhythmic composition. Many singers tried to 'remix' this song in the recent years but none could match the 'original' flavour. I have tried out this song on a diatonic harmonica for a change, which I acquired recently ( Suzuki Manji in the key of E)
