Director, Choreographer, Stunt Coordinator, Specialty Crossbow Act
Background: Ottavio Gesmundo was born into entertainment and hails from over six generations of recorded circus performers. His vast theater experience ranges from performance to production. Ottavio has performed as a dancer, singer, actor and stuntman with such names as Aerosmith, The Spice Girls, Penn & Teller, Eric Idle, Michael Crawford, Tommy Tune and David Cassidy. He was an original cast member and fight captain for the musical Saturday Night Fever on Broadway as well as for the first international company of Elton John and Tim Rice's Aida in Amsterdam. Ottavio has written, directed, and choreographed numerous productions that were presented at the MGM Grand, Mandalay Bay, Luxor, Rio, Sands, Bally§s, Tropicana, Stardust and Plaza Hotels in Las Vegas, as well as for television and industrials. From 2002 2003 Ottavio was the Stunt Director, Choreographer and performed the role of the Green Goblin, for the national tour of Spider-Man Live!, which enjoyed sold out performances at Radio City Music Hall. Ottavio also choreographed the aerial & weapons segments for the Goodspeed production & National Tour of the musical Pippin. Currently, Ottavio can be seen performing a unique integration of dancing, fighting and death defying stunts in a passionate performance entitled The Crossbow Tango.
