Background: I Have a degree in Hotel-Restaurant management from JMU in Harrisonburg VA. I used to own two restaurants in H'burg, one was a Pizzeria and college hang-out called "Luigis" the other a Tex-Mex/Cajun bar and nightclub called T.G. Armadillos. I ended up selling it to my business partner due to in-squabbling. I went on to be the Catering Service Manager at JMU. Moved to Atlanta to be closer to parents (who died months after we moved there). Worked for Marriott Food Services. I also tried to bottle and sell a salsa I made back in H'burg but really talked myself out of it. I decided to change careers and went into technical training with Compusa, moved to Jackson, MS where I now reside. Went back to bottling my salsa and have had a moderate success with it. I ended up being a Networking Program Director at a local for-profit college. I enjoyed the job, did it for six years, but felt it was time to move on. Turns out the thing I moved on to lasted only 2 months and just vanished! Ive been on my own since May of 2007 and I'm ready for a big change. I've been on TV before, just as talent for a local public TV station and have Emcee'd many events.
Interests: To teach people how to cook. So many people are eating what large factories are producing and I just believe something as important as nourishment for our bodies should not be left up to a multi-national conglomerate. I want to teach people how easy it is to cook for themselves and how satisfying a home-cooked meal is especially when shared with friends and family.
